The Sitrex Disc Mower has an articulating joint which allows the cutting head to float following the contour of the ground. Level cuts along edges and slopes are obtained without problems. The break away mechanism allows for the head to spring back to protect the cutting disc. The mechanism is reset by reversing the forward motion. An adjustment spring applies pressure on the mower for good ground consistency for level cutting. The hydraulic arm brings the cutting bar to an upright position for easy transport. The transport lock can be operated from the seat of the tractor by use of the cord provided with the unit. The heavy vinyl cover keeps the cut material under the cover and not thrown all over the tractor and operator. The metal grass board gives a clean cut at the end of the bar to show where to position for the next line of cutting.
